Republican Morgan Griffith of Virginia re-elected to the US House, defeating Democrat Anthony Flaccavento

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Republican Morgan Griffith of Virginia re-elected to the US House, defeating Democrat Anthony Flaccavento.

In Pulaski County, Griffith carried all 12 precincts and won the county with 66 percent of the vote.

Overall in the Ninth District, Griffith has 65 percent of the vote with 97 percent of the vote counted as of 10 p.m..

Flaccavento won all four of Radford’s precincts with 2,997 votes to Griffith’s 2,103.

Flaccavento also won Martinsville City and Montgomery County.

No results have been reported by the State Board of Elections for Roanoke as of 10 p.m.

Outside of Radford, Martinsville and Montgomery, Griffith carried the rest of the Ninth District, which includes 29 counties and cities.
