Rita Faye Hamblin Croy

RITA FAYE HAMBLIN CROY, 55, of Radford, VA, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born May 8,1971 in Pulaski, VA, the daughter of Judas Robert Hamblin & Louise Marie Brunk McKinney.

Rita loved getting outside, enjoyed taking rides and loved being out in nature. She had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs.

She graduated from Bland High School and worked as a CNA for many years.

She loved going shopping.

She was preceded in death by her father, Judas Robert Hamblin, her step-father, Richard McKinney, her grandparents, Goven & Martha Hamblin and Junior & Hazel Brunk and her father-in-law, Bobby Croy.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Louise Brunk McKinney; her husband, Dale Croy; her beloved son, Bobby Croy and his girlfriend, Icey Wickline; her sister, Helen Hobbelman; her step-brothers, Ricky McKinney, Jr. and Chuckie McKinney; her step-sister, Vanessa Edwards; her nephews, Patrick Hobbelman and Reninier & Chelsey Hobbelman; her mother-in-law, Geraldine Croy; special friend, Christopher Thompson; her special pet companions, “Rebel” and “Vixen”; and loads of cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Pastor Linda Hale officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until service time, 7:00 P.M.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Goshen Cemetery.
