Roy Lee Riggins, age 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the New River Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA. Roy was born on December 9, 1948, in Barren Springs, VA. to the late Elmer F. and Nanny V. DeHart Riggins. Along with his parents Roy is preceded in death by his son, Joseph M. Riggins, brothers, Elmer M. Riggins, Willie B. Riggins, Herbert R. Riggins, sisters, Louise A. Warden and Violet M. Haynes.

Grandpa will be greatly missed. I’m one of the oldest grandchildren Destiny Lea Riggins that was able to bless him with 5 Great Grandchildren 3 of the 5 got to have joyful learning times with him. Grandpa also didn’t get chance to meet his Great Great granddaughter that will be 2 this year.
