School system plans closings for employees to receive 2nd COVID vaccinations

Pulaski County Public Schools will be closed on the following dates for employees to receive the 2^nd Covid 19 vaccination: 

Thursday, February 18^th  – Asynchronous Instructional Day (Students independently work on assignments & contact their teachers with any questions that arise.)

Friday, February 19^th  – Asynchronous Instructional Day  (Students independently work on assignments & contact their teachers with any questions that arise.)

Thursday, February 25^th  – Synchronous Instructional Day  (Students log on and participate  in real time lessons with their teachers)

The second vaccinations are being scheduled in a way that allows everyone a recovery day as many recipients experience mild to moderate symptoms following the second injection.  We apologize for any problems that this change in schedule may cause for our families but are excited to complete this next crucial step to ensure that we will be able to have a safe and successful second semester.
