On January 2, 2018 at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a road rage incident that had occurred on Wysor Road in the Draper area of Pulaski County.
Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim, Jeffrey Porterfield, who was operating a Green Ford F150 Truck in the Town of Pulaski near the ballpark, when a gold in color sedan began to tailgate his vehicle up Drapers Mountain towards the Draper area. Once the vehicles entered the four lanes, the road rage incident continued and the driver of the gold sedan threw an object striking the truck.
During the investigation, deputies located a bolt (arrow), shot from a crossbow, impelled in the truck. The investigation led deputies to a residence in the Town of Pulaski, where the driver of the gold sedan, Glen Grubb (pictured), was located and arrested for Attempted Murder, Shooting a Missile at an Occupied Vehicle and two counts of Child Endangerment.
We would like to thank the Pulaski Police Department and the Department of Social Services for their assistance during this incident. Grubb is being held at the New River Valley regional Jail at this time.
