Special Operations Team helps rescue capsized kayaker on Claytor Lake

At 1:13pm Tuesday Pulaski County Special Operations Team members were dispatched to Claytor Lake State Park for a kayaker that capsized and was still in the water.

A near by kayaker was able to reach the subject in the water and assist him to an island where our boat team was able to safely bring the subject on board and transport to EMS on the boat ramp.

This was the teams first call out of 2023, only four days since the last call out of 2022.
