State Police working three-vehicle fatal crash on I-81 in Pulaski County
At 8:51 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12, 2019), Virginia State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash at the 89 mile marker in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Pulaski County. The crash involves three tractor-trailers and there is one confirmed fatality.
The Virginia State Police Wytheville Division’s Crash Reconstruction Team has responded to the scene to assist with the ongoing crash investigation.
It is not known at this time if the weather was a factor in the cause of the crash. Motorists are still advised to be cautious if traveling through this stretch of Interstate 81 due to the ongoing crash scene and investigation.
