Traffic stop leads to K9 Zeus’s largest seizure of meth, cash
On June 10, 2019 at approximately 9:00 pm, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputy Giampocaro and K9 Zeus conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Ford SUV on Cougar Trail Road. During the traffic stop encounter, a small amount of methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle. Further information was gained with the assistance of the Claytor Lake Regional Task Force, which led to the execution of a search warrant at Walters Trailer Park on Route 11.
During the search warrant execution on the residence, a large sum of methamphetamine was seized and a large amount of cash was recovered. Over 450 grams of methamphetamine and over $1,300 in cash was seized from the incident. The methamphetamine would have a street value of over $45,000, making this, K9 Zeus’s largest involved drug seizure to date.
Bradley Scott Mooney of Dublin, Virginia was subsequently arrested for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and is currently being held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
