Traffic stop yields charges against two men

On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 4:25 PM, an officer with the Pulaski Police Department conducted a traffic stop at N. Jefferson Ave/5th St. NW, due to the vehicle being improperly registered.

The vehicle contained two occupants – the driver, Jeremy David Lambert, 49 of Pulaski, and passenger – Joshua David Lambert, 20 of Pulaski.

Due to suspicious behavior, a nearby K9 unit was called to assist from Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.  The K9 alerted on the vehicle, which was subsequently searched.

Several items were found in the vehicle search to include approximately one gram of methamphetamine, digital scales, paraphernalia, and packaging typically used in the sale of narcotics.  An additional bag was located on Joshua Lambert’s person, containing approximately 58 grams of methamphetamine.

Jeremy Lambert was released on a summons for driving suspended/revoked, and improper registration.  Joshua Lambert was taken into custody, transported to the New River Valley Regional Jail, charged with possession with the intent to distribute, and held with no bond.
