Two people die in Thursday crash on Route 11 in Dublin
On Thursday December 7, 2017 at approximately 2:30 pm the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles. The crash occurred in the southbound lane of Route 11 near the Wright Avenue Intersection.
Upon arrival three vehicles were located, a 2014 Nissan Car, a 1996 Ford Car and a 1999 Chevrolet Van, all with significant damage. Shortly after arrival, rescue personnel pronounced driver Aaron Scott Patterson of Pulaski and driver Patty Hazel Quesenberry of Dublin deceased.
During the investigation it was learned a vehicle traveling northbound crossed over into the southbound lane causing an initial head on collision. The third vehicle was unable to avoid the crash and struck one of the vehicles involved in the head on collision.
The crash is being investigated by Deputy Barry Hale with the assistance of the Crash Reconstruction Team.
The sheriff’s office would like to thank REMSI Rescue Personnel, the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department, Fairlawn Volunteer Fire Department, Pulaski County Emergency Services, the Virginia State Police and the Dublin Police Department for their assistance.
