Veterans from across the region gathered at Claytor Lake on June 7 for the 14th annual Veterans Fish Day, a community tradition dedicated to honoring those who served our nation through a day of fishing, fellowship, and appreciation.
The event brought together veterans, volunteer boat captains, community organizations, local businesses, and supporters who worked together to create a memorable experience on the water. Participants enjoyed a day of fishing on Claytor Lake while connecting with fellow veterans and members of the community.
Veterans Fish Day continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of numerous sponsors and volunteers who donate their time, resources, equipment, meals, and financial support each year. Their contributions help ensure the event remains free and accessible for participating veterans.
Friends of Claytor Lake (FOCL) was proud to support this year’s event and extend its gratitude to the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that helped make the day possible.
As the event celebrates its 14th year, it remains a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to recognize and thank those who have sacrificed for our country.
