Virginia Tech Football’s 2022 schedule finalized

The Hokies’ 2022 schedule was officially announced on Monday night, and excitement for the next chapter of Virginia Tech Football under new head coach Brent Pry is ramping up.

Pry will make his debut as Virginia Tech head coach on either Friday, Sept. 2 or Saturday, Sept. 3 when the Hokies visit Old Dominion. Pry’s initial home game at Lane Stadium will come against ACC foe Boston College on Sept. 10.

Virginia Tech will play six home games at Lane Stadium, highlighted by a Thursday night contest against West Virginia on Sept. 22 as the Hokies seek to reclaim the Black Diamond Trophy. Tech will also welcome ACC Coastal foes Miami (Fla.), Georgia Tech and Virginia to Blacksburg.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the action this fall. New season tickets are still available for as little as $350 with flexible payment plan options, while current season ticket holders have until Wednesday, Feb. 2, to submit renewal applications.

Road games at North Carolina and Pitt, and a home contest against the Hurricanes, mark a crucial ACC Coastal stretch in Weeks 5-7. Tech has Week 8 open before a trip to NC State on Thursday night, Oct. 27, to wrap up the month.

Tech opens November at home against Georgia Tech on Saturday, Nov. 5, before consecutive road games at Duke and Liberty. The Commonwealth Clash presented by Smithfield will once again fall on the Saturday after Thanksgiving as UVa visits Lane Stadium. The Hokies have won 21 of their last 23 meetings with the Cavaliers, including 11 straight victories in Blacksburg.

Virginia Tech fans will get their first opportunity to see Pry’s squad at the 2022 Spring Game, which is set for 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 16. Further details for the event will be announced when finalized. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Network.
