Virginia Tech NIT-bound

Virginia Tech’s men’s basketball team accepts bid to the National Invitation Tournament and will travel to Cincinnati for a first round game Wednedsay night.

Tip-off is at 9 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The winner will play either Rutgers or Hofstra in the second round of the 32-team tournament.

Another ACC team – Clemson – will also participate in the NIT, however, North Carolina declined an invitation to play.
