Virginia Tech women land regional No. 1 seed in NCAA tournament

Virginia Tech’s women’s basketball team landed the No. 1 seed in the Seattle 3 region of the women’s NCAA Tournament and will host No. 16 seed Chattanooga on Friday in Blacksburg.

The Hokies’ women’s basketball squad just won its first-ever ACC Tournament title. Tech is currently riding an 11-game winning streak and has ascended to as high as No. 4 in the most recent AP Top 25 poll.

First and second round games will take place in Cassell Coliseum.
