Woman charged with felony abuse and neglect of child

On October 31, 2018, just before 10:30 AM, the Pulaski Police Department responded to a residence on 5^th St. NE, in reference to a young child that had possibly overdosed on the caretaker’s medication.

The child was immediately transported to Lewis Gale Hospital in Pulaski for treatment and monitoring, but expected to make a full recovery.

Roberta Marie Edwards, 53, of Pulaski, was charged and later arrested for felony abuse and neglect of children. Edwards was transported to the New River Valley Regional Jail and held on a $2500 secured bond.
