Obituary for William Edward “Satch” Gray
William Edward “Satch” Gray, 84 of Pulaski, VA died Monday night, September 3, 2018 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Bland Co. on July 2, 1934 and was the son of the late Hubert Malcolm Gray and Eathel Meadows Gray. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hamblin Gray, a sister, Mary Wroten and by three brothers, Malcolm Gray, Carl Nelson Gray and Hubert Russell Gray. Satch was a retired ironworker and a retired employee of Virginia Church Furniture, Pulaski.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Debra Gray and Kenneth and Connie Gray; grandchildren Amanda Gray Delph and husband, Billy Delph, II, and Eric Gray and Zachary Hubble; great-grandchildren Ashley Treadway, Tiffany Treadway, Kierstyn Chinault, Makenzie Delph, Makaylin Delph, Nathan Hubble, Natalie Hubble, Emma Hubble and Grayson Hubble; sister and brother-in-law Stella and Connie Buckner and brother and sister-in-law Kelby Gene and Sue Gray.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hidden Valley Cemetery in the Little Creek section of Bland County. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 Am until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, VA.
