Patsy Kilby Miller

Patsy Kilby Miller, 87, of Vinton, VA went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, surrounded by family, where she is now experiencing inexpressible joy in the presence of the Lord. A loyal wife, devoted mother, fun grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma, faithful sister and cherished friend, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Miller Sr.; grandson, Joshua Hopkins; and brother, Raymond Kilby.
The eldest of five siblings, Patsy was born on November 19th, 1938 in Grayson County, VA to Lane and Virginia Kilby. She was a devoted wife of 45 years to her husband, Don Miller. She is survived by her children Sabrina Hopkins (husband, James), Renee Harris, and Don Miller Jr (Brad); her beloved grandchildren Mark Hopkins (Valerie) and Trey Harris (Tyler); great-grandchildren Garrett Hopkins (Jana Claire), Lexie Hopkins, Breanna Hopkins, Isaiah Griffith (Mariah); and siblings Lane “Sonny” M. Kilby (Eula), Connie Bruce (Wayne), and Bobbie Hayworth, and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.
Spunky, fun-spirited and filled with an infectious enthusiasm for life, she brought a smile, a giggle, and excitement into the lives she touched. She lived her life with her arms wide open, embracing every moment with an enduring zest that was enjoyed and experienced by all around her. Her loyalty and warmth knew no bounds, and all of this is because of the new life she had in Christ due to His amazing, saving grace through faith in Him.
Above all, she was the proud heart of her family, pouring unlimited love, adventure and humor into their lives. Her family was the absolute joy of her life, and she leaves them with a legacy of cherished memories, endless love, and a reminder to live life with joy and an eye towards eternity.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to Good Samaritan Hospice Staff, church friends and family, and all those who offered loving care and support provided to Patsy in her final days here.
An intimate and private family gathering will be held at Belspring United Methodist Church, led by her grandson, Pastor Mark Hopkins, with burial to follow at Hickman Cemetery.
