‘Impactful’ winter storm possible for this weekend
Staff Report
“The potential exists for impactful winter storm this weekend.”
That’s how the National Weather Service on Tuesday morning described the weather forecast for this coming weekend … sounding the alarm early, but making no predictions yet on exactly what to expect.
As of Tuesday morning, their best guess is we’ll see snow possibly after 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
However, snow is “likely,” mainly after 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon with snow continuing Saturday night and all day Sunday.
Sunday night the weather service says right now there is a chance that snow will continue, while temperatures drop into the single digits.
Monday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high near 28.
Beginning to sound like one of those old timey winter storms that we haven’t seen in these parts for a while.
Keep your eye on the weather forecast as the weekend nears, and don’t forget that milk and bread!
