McCall enters State Senate race in 38th District

George McCall, A banking executive from Tazewell County, filed over 600 signatures – well above the required 250 – in a bid for State Senate for the 38th District, Tuesday.  McCall, a strong supporter of President Trump, will run as a conservative independent.

“It’s time to clean house in Richmond,” said McCall.  “President Trump is doing wonders for our economy and draining the Swamp in Washington, but Virginia continues to only shift further leftward – becoming an example of some of the nation’s most radical proposals and most wicked leaders.  We should no longer sit by as our current state senator fails to serve the district, engages in cronyism, and refuses to boldly represent our conservative values.  Status quo politicians like my opponent aren’t getting the job done, and that’s why I am proud to announce my candidacy for State Senate.”

McCall is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-Trump, pro-commerce, anti-Northam, and anti-regulation.  He confirmed that he plans to caucus with Republicans if elected.  He also pledged both to be “to the right” of most of its members and also “an independent voice willing to call career politicians to account, regardless of Party.”

A more detailed campaign launch is expected in the coming weeks.
