I am so sorry to hear about Gary’s death. He was a great man. We worked together @ Pulaski Middle School for many years. He arrived very early in the mornings and opened all of our windows and pulled down the shades in our classrooms before we got to school on very hot days. He assisted all students, teachers, fellow workers and staff and strived to make PMS @ wonderful workplace.

I can still hear Gary now. I would often ask him for favors (as did most teachers at Pulaski Middle School). His answer was always, “Yes, ma’am.” Occasionally, I’d say, “Gary, don’t say yes ma’am to me!” He’d say, “Yes, ma’am.”
In addition to his kindness and manners, Gary was the best story teller I’ve ever known. I’ve been entertained by him many afternoons after school. It was my privilege to be a small part of Gary’s life.
