Pulaski County Friends of the Library to Host a Poetry Reading

In honor of National Library Week and National Poetry Month, the Pulaski County Friends of the Library is pleased to announce a special “Poetry Reading” on Tuesday, April 9th at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Pulaski Library.

Featured authors at the reading will be Dr. Parks Lanier, retired Radford University English professor and Mr. Kevin McDaniel of Pulaski.  Both gentlemen have numerous books in print and receive high acclaim from readers of their works.

Dr. Lanier retired from Radford University after thirty-seven years of teaching English and has served on the Pulaski County Library Board from the Cloyd District.  Mr. McDaniel lives in Pulaski with his wife, daughters, and their menagerie of pets.  Mr. McDaniel, a noted author, has been quoted as a saying that “poetry is an attic where memories are stored.”

This special program is open to the public at no charge.  Light refreshments will be served.
