Ban on open air burning lifted
PULASKI COUNTY, VA- After yesterday’s significant rainfall, Pulaski County officials have
lifted the local state of emergency that prohibited open air burning in the county.
Pulaski County Emergency Management Coordinator, Brad Wright, says “Conditions have
substantially improved over the last 24 hours allowing for safer conditions for open air burning.”
The ban on open air burning was put into place earlier this month when drought and abnormally
dry conditions created a heightened risk for wildfires
