High winds hamper I-77 truck traffic

From Va. State Police

At 7:44 a.m., Thursday (Jan. 18), Virginia State Police responded to the first of three over-turned tractor-trailers on Interstate 77 in Carroll County. All three tractor-trailers were traveling northbound on I-77 when blown over by high winds near the 2 mile marker at the Virginia-North Carolina border. None of the drivers was injured.

Commercial traffic needing to travel through this stretch of I-77 is advised to continue with extreme caution or seek an alternate route until the winds calm.
