Burlington to battle Johnson City for Appalachian League crown

Burlington will travel to Johnson City today to play for the 2023 Appalachian League Championship.

Burlington won the East Division crown by 3.5 games over Danville. The Sock Puppets were 29-19 on the season.

Johnson City ran away with the West Division crown by 12 games over Kingsport.  The Doughboys were a league-best 35-10 for the regular season.

Pulaski finished the season at 12-29, 13.5 games behind Burlington in the East Division.
