Clayborne Stafford Alexander

Clayborne Stafford Alexander, age 88 of Wythe County passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Northern Regional Hospital, Mt. Airy, N.C.

Born In Carroll County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles Ingram Alexander and Minnie Nicatie Alexander Hamblin. He was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Burnette and a number of sisters and brothers.

He retired from RAAP with over 30 years of service.

Many nieces, nephews and extended family

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 PM – October 4, 2023 in the Bower Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Interment will follow in the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Wythe County.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
