Dolly May DeHart Deyerle, 97, of Radford, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, and much loved “Granny”. Dolly was born on April 30, 1926, in Radford. She never resided more than 10 miles from her birthplace. She graduated from Bluefield College where she played on the Women’s basketball team; and being a homebody, she rode the passenger train back and forth to Radford every weekend. After her marriage to Forrest “Preacher” Deyerle on August 3, 1946; her occupation became devoted housewife and mother, raising their son and two daughters. Family vacations included camping trips at Virginia State Parks and visiting relatives in Virginia Beach. She also took great pleasure in gardening with “Preacher”, cooking delicious meals at home, and being an excellent homemaker. In later years she enjoyed taking trips with her sisters, reading her bible, journaling, working puzzles, and family visits. Family was the center and loving focus of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnett and Pearl Lester DeHart; her beloved husband, Forrest Ray (Preacher) Deyerle; and infant daughter, Donna Suzan Deyerle.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ray Deyerle (Helen), LuAnn Gilbert (Jim), and Bonny Spicer; grandchildren, Andrea Deyerle, Dory Kalich (Ben), Jennifer Chrisley and Michael Gilbert (Crystal); great-grandchildren, Hallee Armstrong (Travis), Kassidy Schulz (Tanner), Tyler Chrisley, Caleb Chrisley, Isaac Chrisley, Jace Ludwig, Jordan Ludwig and Gabrielle Gilbert; great-great grandchildren, Ellie Bowyer, Murray Armstrong and Amelia Schulz; siblings, Corinne Dolinger, Dorothy Likens and Kyle DeHart; long time friends, Sadie Hillman and Sandra Pack; and extended family of many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Funeral services will be held privately.
