Dublin woman dies in early morning crash on Route 11
On June 1, 2018 at approximately 7:20 am the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 11 near the Courtney Lane Intersection. Upon arrival, deputies found three vehicles with heavy front end damage and single occupants in each vehicle.
The drivers were identified as Justin Mathew Collins, 30 of Barren Springs, who was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, Gena Owens Lisi, 41 of Dublin who sustained minor injuries and Sara Ann Hunter, 59 of Dublin, who was fatally injured during the crash.
The preliminary investigation and witness statements confirm, Collins was traveling south on Route 11 when his vehicle veered into the north bound lane impacting the truck driven by Hunter. A secondary impact occurred when Collins’ vehicle struck the SUV driven by Lisi.
No charges have been filed pending lab results, a complete investigation and/or reconstruction to include a Commonwealth’s Attorney consultation.
The crash is being investigated by Deputy Abdelaziz with the assistance of the Crash Reconstruction Team.
