Environmental science course at NRCC offered Spring 2026
New River Community College is offering a new science course in environmental science this spring.
Foundations of Environmental Science (ENV 121) focuses on basic physical, chemical, and biological principles with an emphasis on the interactions between humans and the environment. Assignments require college-level reading fluency, coherent written and oral communication, and basic mathematical skills. This course contains a lecture portion and a lab portion. ENV 121 is a transferable course.
The class will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. with the lab portion on Mondays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This class meets in person at NRCC’s campus in Dublin, with the first day of class on Wednesday, January 21.
