Griffith: $400,000 for Community Housing Partners
Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today announced that the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded $400,000 to Community Housing Partners (CHP) in Christiansburg, Virginia. CHP is a Phase 1 winner of the DOE’S Buildings Upgrade Prize, which awards energy efficiency and efficient electrification building upgrade initiatives.
“The Department of Energy’s award of $400,000 to Community Housing Partners will help the organization continue their mission of providing affordable and sustainable housing for lower income individuals in rural communities.”
Congressman Griffith toured the CHP Energy Solutions Research and Training Center in Christiansburg in 2019 to see firsthand CHP’s work to help energy professionals gain expert training.
