Griffith Releases Statement on Supreme Court Decision in Students for Fair Admission, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College
Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) released a statement following the Supreme Court’s decision to disallow race-based affirmative action in higher education:
“At first blush, this appears to be a well-reasoned opinion by the Court. Colleges and Universities will no longer be allowed to consider race as a factor when determining admission of an applicant, as the Court has determined that it violates the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
“This opinion harkens back to Martin Luther King, Jr’s famous speech in which he stated: ‘I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.’”

So you think we live in a country where people are not judged by the color of their skin? I think you have been in D.C. too long.
