Hager announces bid for Clerk of Court

Terri Nicewander-Hager has officially announced her candidacy for Clerk of Court in Pulaski County.

“I am excited and proud to announce myself as a candidate for the Clerk of Court in Pulaski County,” she said in a statement this week. “I have 21 years of direct hands-on experience in the Clerk of Court office and am passionate about my job and serving the citizens of Pulaski County.”

She said in addition to being Chief Deputy Clerk, she is a mother, wife, and small-business owner.

“I’ve been a resident of Pulaski County my entire life,” she adds.

“I promise that I will work for all citizens of our county, focusing on the needs of our community and working to ensure a non-partisan office serving you. One of my chief goals as Clerk would be to retain our open-door policy which makes personal interaction a priority,” she said.

“I’ve already received tremendous support in my candidacy, but I believe the support of the current Clerk of Court Maetta H. Crewe speaks the loudest. We will be losing 39 1/2 years of experience and leadership when she retires in December, and the best way to move forward is to elect someone who has the experience and training in the office necessary for a smooth transition in January.

“I believe with over two decades experience working in the Clerk of Courts office, combined with my dedication to serving the citizens of Pulaski County, makes me the ideal candidate for this position. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the office runs smoothly and that the citizens of the county receive the highest level of customer service,” she added.

“I humbly ask for your vote November 7, 2023 so that I can continue to serve the citizens of Pulaski County and ensure that the Clerk’s office runs smoothly and efficiently. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to work for you in the future,” she closed.
