The PCHS Lady Cougars traveled to Abingdon where they faced the Lady Falcons in the Region Semifinals! We tip our hats to the Falcons who defeated the Cougars 6-2, thereby ending the season for the Cougars. Even though our season came to an abrupt end Monday evening and we didn’t quite reach our goal of going to states, it was a very good season and we are extremely proud of the Lady Cougars!

The Lady Cougars achieved many softball program firsts this season. These “firsts” include but are not limited to:

Co champions of the River Ridge District

Winners of the River Ridge Tournament

Won 17 games

Won a quarterfinal regional playoff game

earning a semifinal playoff berth.

Had a player named as Regional Player of the Year (Victoria Hale)

Had 3 players named to the All Region First Team (Victoria Hale, Sophia Hall Carley Hight)

Had 3 players named to the All Region Second Team ( Addison Puckett, Emma Nester and Shelby Dobbins)

Had 2 players earn Honorable Mention to the All Region Team (Ava Souder and Addison Dean)

All 8 seniors who graduated from Pulaski County High School will attend college in the fall. 4 will continue to play softball and 4 will concentrate strictly on academics.

It is incredibly difficult to say goodbye to 8 Lady Cougars who are very talented softball players and an integral part of the team, but more importantly who are wonderful young women. Sadly, that time has come. We wish only the very best to the 8 incredible Lady Cougars who will now begin the next chapter of their lives!
