Margaret Jane Meade

Margaret Jane Meade, born April 21, 1935, to Gorge Eirven Lambert and Wancy May Lambert has passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, with her family by her side.

Margaret was a family loving lady who married the love of her life, Billy Joe Meade on June 5, 1984, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her death would be two sons, Larry Huff and David Huff. Two sisters, Mae Tabor and Louise Altmon and a brother, James Lambert.

Margaret was a hard working and determined woman with a huge heart that loved raising a home for her beloved children. Leaving behind to cherish her legacy are her daughters, Sharon Marshall of Holiday, Florida, Phyllis Huff of Christiansburg, Patsy Hackney (David) of Pearisburg, Sandra Chafin of Blacksburg, Janie McCoy (Dale) of Blacksburg. And son, Rodney Huff of Christiansburg.

Also surviving is a sister, Countess Harrison of Salem along with 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She will also be missed by Max, her loving pup.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Norris Funeral Services, Pulaski Chapel located at 815 Randolph Avenue beginning at two o’clock in the afternoon. Visitation will be from twelve o’clock until the time of service.
