Mildred Edmonds Lawson
Mildred L. “Millie” Edmonds Lawson, age 86 of Christiansburg and formerly of Lawson Hills Farm (Draper, VA) retired schoolteacher and mother passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the NRV Medical Center. Born March 25, 1937 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert & Edith Lawson Edmonds.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Lawson, Sr., brother, Lewis Edmonds, sister, Aloma Whitlock & husband, Daniel Whitlock and brother-in-law, Clay Lawrence.
Millie is survived by her
Son – James Ralph (Kristen) Lawson, Jr. – Roanoke
Bonus Daughter – Shelly (Steve) Shockley – Christiansburg
Bonus Grandchildren – Victoria Shockley-Newton (Will), Jackson Shockley & fiancée, Ashlea Conner
Brother – Garnett (Bobbi) Edmonds – Amissville, VA
Sisters – Charlotte Lawrence – Draper, Wanda Edmonds – Radford
Sister-in-law – Sibel Edmonds – FL

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Bobby Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper. The family will receive friends one hour before service time Monday at the funeral home.
