Paul Kevin King

Paul Kevin King, formerly of Dublin, Va., passed away on Nov. 16, 2023 in Georgetown, S.C. Paul was born on Jan. 22, 1954 in Giles County, Va. and was the son of the late Hugh King and Mabel Morris King. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joe R. Stafford of the Sugar Run Community in Giles County. He was a 1972 graduate of Giles High School and retired from Centerra located at the Radford Arsenal. Paul was a kind-hearted individual and loved by all who knew him. He served as Dottie’s primary caregiver for many years prior to his passing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Dottie Stafford King and daughter, Heather King O’Neal (Rob) of Georgetown, S.C.; one grandson, Robbie O’Neal; three granddaughters, Rheannen, Savannah and Ireland O’Neal, all of Georgetown, S.C.; one brother, Wayne King of Troutman, N.C.; one sister, Alice Allen (Tracy) of Pearisburg, Va.; mother-in-law, Betsy G. Stafford; one brother-in-law, Rick Stafford (Robin), all of the Sugar Run Community, and one sister-in-law, Sherry S. Legard (Richard) of Pearisburg, Va.; several nieces and nephews and his four-legged companions, Rufus and Ellie, whom he adored, as well as all of God’s other creatures.

Per his wishes, Paul has been cremated.  A celebration of life is planned in the near future.
