Pulaski man arrested after Sunday incident
On Sunday April 14, 2019, at approximately 8:35 AM, the Pulaski Police Department responded to 1006 E. Main St. in reference to an individual that damaged property, causing injury to staff, and left the scene.
Officers searched the area for the suspect vehicle but were unsuccessful.
It was reported that two individuals were asked to leave, as the business was closing for the day. Although irrate, one of the subjects complied and left the business. The other individual remained inside.
He then struck the reception window with his hand, shattering the glass onto an employee, thus causing injuries. He then left the scene with the other individual.
The employee was transported to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Upon further investigation, the suspect was identified. Jonathan Charles McKinney, 28, of Pulaski was charged with the following: felony malicious wounding, property damage, and disorderly conduct.
He later turned himself in without incident, and was committed to New River Valley Regional Jail and held without bond.

How come you didn’t mention the name of the business or what they do, it’s a methadone clinic and y’all know that, or the fact that he came thru the glass and attacked the employee, not just broke the glass

Were you there? Did you see this happen? He didn’t even get close to the woman. The glass “fell” on her. Watch the video, and mind ya own business if you weren’t there. Also, you obviously have a problem with the clinic yourself so I highly doubt you were there since your on your high horse talking about the “business”. It could have been a car place, a doctors office, gas station, hell a random ass circus built over night. Get over yourself with obviously putting addicts who are trying to get help. Nobody cares when you go to the bathroom and poop, do they? So why should you care what the business was from jump except degrade them and start random rumors about the man. You weren’t even there! Oh wait, that’s right, you was on your high horse outside pointing at the clinic as if the whole town doesn’t already know it’s there. Get a life, especially one where you think you better than people! Peace!&Love! -An ADDICT

Good question for the Pulaski P.D. We just posted what they sent to us. Hadn’t had a chance to track down what business it was from the address.

WHAT does it matter what business it was??? Are you trying to imply that it happened only because it was at the business of PULASKI MEDICAL, not methadone clinic.

Why wasn’t the employee taken to Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital?

This isn’t surprising at all, it was only a matter of time. Unfortunately a lot clients have a hard time understanding closing times and think that the hours should be when they want to come, not what is posted. It’s very sad that this employee was attacked, and even sadder that the people associated with the incident will most likely still be allowed to attend the program. The agency needs to review its safety and security policies to better protect the staff and other patients.

I love the addicts comment so very true they put the addicts down . They act like they have never had an addiction. I’m proud that they try to get help. ( an addicts Mom)
