Pulaski man charged with attempted murder, property damage
From Pulaski Police Department
On Aug. 8, 2023 Officers from Pulaski Police Department were called to the area of S. Madison Ave. and 4th St. SE in reference to a fight in progress. When officers arrived on scene, they determined that a male had been struck with a board during the fight. Officers also learned that the suspect had thrown a large rock at the victim, which missed and struck a window, causing property damage.
Officers located and arrested the suspect, Junior Michael Stone of Pulaski, who was still in the area of the altercation. The victim did not sustain any significant injuries during the attack and was able to restrain Stone until just prior to officers arriving on scene. During the investigation, officers determined that Stone and the victim know each other and that a protective order had previously been in place between the two, but had since expired.
After consultation with the Pulaski County Commonwealths Attorney’s office, Stone was charged with attempted murder and property damage. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
