Town of Dublin to present jurisdictional boundary settlement plan to the public for comment

From the Town of Dublin

Dublin – To enable the Town of Dublin to grow and to meet the needs of its present and future residents, including those individuals and businesses whose respective properties adjoin the town and are already receiving some public services from the town, the Town of Dublin has developed a plan for a jurisdictional boundary adjustment and settlement with Pulaski County, which plan will enable the Town of Dublin to extend its boundaries and thus better serve the residents and businesses within the proposed adjusted boundaries.

Dublin’s mayor and all of its council members want the public to be fully informed and supportive of the plan, and to that end will be holding multiple public information and comment sessions to review the plan, answer questions regarding the plan, and receive input from the public for any appropriate adjustments to the plan.  When these sessions are concluded, the town will formally present its plan to the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors and request Pulaski County to join in a joint presentation of the plan to the Virginia Commission on Local Government for the necessary state approval.

The Town of Dublin will hold its public information and comment sessions on Tuesday, September 20; Wednesday, September 21; and Thursday, September 22, 2022, beginning at 6:00 p.m. each day, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Dublin Town Center, 101 Dublin Park Road, Dublin.  Each session will be up to 2 hours long, and due to fire code occupancy restrictions, there will be a limit of 75 people per session. Anyone needing special access accommodations should contact Deanna Marshall at 540-674-4798 in advance of the session which he/she will attend.  Written comments may also be mailed in advance to the Dublin town manager, Tyler Kirkner, at 101 Dublin Park Road, Dublin VA 24084, or by e-mail to:  dublingrowth@dublintown.org

A display of information regarding the boundary adjustment plan will be located in the main entrance lobby of the Dublin Town Center beginning September 16, 2022.  Additional information may be viewed on the Town of Dublin’s website:  www.dublintown.org.
