Turner new head football coach at Carroll County

      The Patriot has learned that former Pulaski County football coach and player Jack Turner accepted the head coaching position at Carroll County High School in Hillsville this afternoon.

      Turner was an all-state football player as a Cougar, a successful coach of the Cougars, and also had five solid years as coach at Auburn in Riner. This past season he was the defensive coordinator at Galax.

      Turner met with his Cavalier football team this afternoon at Carroll County High, and his employment in Hillsville will start with the first day of February when he will begin with his off-season program.
