BOO HUNGER AWAY: Halloween Food Drive

boo hunger awayThe Emergency Needs Task Force of Pulaski County (ENTF) will host a Halloween Food Drive.

As the holiday season begins, this food drive is particularly important. Our goal is to fill ENTF’s food pantry shelves. We invite you to join us in our effort by dropping off non-perishable food items at the New River Community Action Office (412 North Jefferson Ave.) in Pulaski.

The food drive will begin on Monday, Oct. 23 and end on Friday, Oct. 27. Donations will be accepted between the hours: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm. If you need to schedule a drop-off donation after-hours listed, please contact us by calling: 540-980-5525 or 540-577-8731.

We encourage community participation, and your generosity will benefit individuals and families in need. If you choose to donate by check, make checks payable to The Emergency Needs Task Force of Pulaski County (P.O. Box 1422 Pulaski, Va 24301) and please indicate “Food Drive” on the memo line. Other monetary donations can be made via the ENTF website, www.entfpulaskiva.org.

The pantry’s current needs are canned meats (chicken, beef, tuna/salmon), oatmeal, boxed pasta meals, hearty soups, peanut butter, instant potatoes, canned fruit, canned vegetables, and dry cereal. All donated food items should be unopened and not past the “use by” date.
