LET’S BOO HUNGER AWAY Halloween Food Drive

The Emergency Needs Task Force (ENTF) of Pulaski County will host a Halloween Food Drive, co-sponsored by Next Level VR MOVA Technologies.

ENTF is an incorporated, non-profit organization whose only purpose is to provide emergency assistance to lower-in-come residents who are unable to meet emergency needs for fuel, shelter, utilities and food. ENTF is funded by charitable foundations, churches, individual citizens and governed by a Board of Directors. The daily business is handled by the staff of New River Community Action in Pulaski.

As the holiday season begins, this food drive is particularly important. Our goal is to fill ENTF’s food pantry shelves. We invite you to join us in our effort by dropping off non-perishable food items at the New River Community Action Office (412 North Jefferson Ave.) in Pulaski on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021,    10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The pantry’s current needs are: canned meats (chicken, beef, tuna/salmon), oatmeal, boxed pasta meals, hearty soups, instant potatoes, canned fruit, canned vegetables and dry cereal. All donated food items should be unopened and not past the “use by” date.

We encourage community participation on all levels: citizens, local governments, private businesses and local industries. Your generosity will benefit individuals and families in need. If you choose to donate by check, make checks payable to The Emergency Needs Task of Pulaski County and please indicate “Food Drive” on the memo line. Cash donations are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a written receipt.

In keeping with the Halloween tradition we will have treats for the children. Together we can have a Spook-tacular event and BOO hunger away!
