Obituary for Dr. Raymond Eugene King, Sr.

Dr. Raymond Eugene King, Sr., age 86 of Pulaski County met his Savior Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the New River Valley Medical Center in Radford. Born August 27, 1937 in Austinville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Thelma Ethel King. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Glenna Josephine King, sisters, Ellen Freeman, Louise Clowers and Rose Smith.

 

Raymond loved his precious Savior, whom he served faithfully for 33 years. For 30 years of his ministry, he worked extensively on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, faithfulness to God and willingness to share the gospel with everyone he met.

 

Raymond was saved for over 60 years.

Daughter & Son-in-law – Anita & Dean Eibert – Basin, Wyoming

 

Sons & Daughters-in-law – Raymond King, Jr – Bassett, VA, Allen & Debee King – Phoenix, AZ, Joe & Selena King – Dugspur, VA, Douglas & Lori King – Critz, VA, Robin & Joye King – Lexington, VA,

Todd King – Bassett, VA

 

18 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great, Great Grandchildren

 

Sister – Shirley Alley – Pulaski Co.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM – Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home- Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. David King and Bishop Randal Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery, Fairlawn.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM – Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
