Obituary for Kevin Matthew Sutherland

MARION –  Kevin Matthew Sutherland, age 37 passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 after years long, hard fought battles with health issues.

Kevin was born in Radford, VA and was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James C. Shelton; paternal grandparents, Louis G. Sutherland and Nora Sutherland Turpin; father, Louis Glenn Sutherland.

Kevin enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with IT, computers, and technology. He had a love of history especially WW II and the Civil War. He enjoyed participating in reenactments.  Kevin loved gathering with family, seeing everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. He loved attending sporting events with his brother.

Survivors include his mom and stepdad, Barbara and Jody Martin; step brother, JD Martin; maternal grandmother, Sue Shelton; the three girls who stole his heart, Candi, Hope, and Gwen; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.  Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the family.
