PCHS boys fall, 66-55 in opener at Carroll
Tyler Cannoy made his coaching debut for Pulaski County Tuesday evening, but unfortunately his team fell in the season opener in Hillsville, 65-55 to Carroll County.
The Cougars led by two, 25-23 at the half, but were outscored by a dozen points, six each in the third and fourth quarters as the Carroll surge was led by Jackson Hull with 16 points. Ryan Phillips with 15, and Matt Marshall with 14 in a balanced scoring effort for the Cavaliers.
A.J. McCloud led the scoring for the Cougars will 20. Others to hit the scoring column for PCHS were Jeremiah Gully with nine, Hayden Gray with seven, Josh Bourne with six, Peyton Blackburn four, Gage Mannon four, Luke Russell three, and William Sweeney two.
