VDOT Traffic Alert: Lane closure on I-81 near Salem cleared

SALEM – As of 1 p.m., the right lane closure on northbound Interstate 81 in Roanoke County near Salem at mile marker 137 has been removed. In addition, the ramps onto northbound I-81 at exits 118, 132 and 137 also are reopening.

The lane had been closed since 6 p.m. on July 16 due to repairs on the bridge over Route 635 (Goodwin Avenue) and the bridge over Route 619 (Academy Street).
