Melissa Kay Finn Choate, age 45 of Galax passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Born December 14, 1976 in Radford she was the daughter of Rome Garland Finn, Jr. & Connie Jean Flinchum Kegley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Garland Finn, grandfathers, Archie Flinchum, Rome Garland Finn, Sr., stepfather, Walter Kegley and aunt, Loretta Witt.

Husband – Mark Anthony Choate – Galax

Children – Jacob Wright – Pulaski, Sarah Wright – Galax, Kayla Wright – Pulaski, Leah Choate – Galax

Stepdaughter – Jasmine Choate – Galax

Father & Stepmother – Rome Garland (Lesley) Finn, Jr.

Mother – Connie Jean Flinchum Kegley – Pulaski

Grandmothers – Virginia Finn, Beulah Flinchum

Grandchildren – James, Hunter, Maddie, Jayden and Anthony

Sister – Sharon Renee (Daniel) Timberlake – Missouri

Stepbrothers – Lance, Josh and DJ Akers – Pulaski

Special Nieces and Nephews – Christian and Conner, Landon and Journey

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM – Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Carson Linkous and Alfred Reed officiating. Interment will follow at the Flinchum Cemetery, Hiwassee.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time Friday at the Funeral Home.
