Pulaski County Republicans choose their candidates for November races

Pulaski County’s Republican Party has selected its nominees for November’s General Election.
The list includes seven incumbents and two newcomers.
The party’s Executive Committee members met Friday evening and reviewed applications for those nominations.
The nominees approved to run for the county’s five Board of Supervisors seats are: Dirk Compton, Draper District; Laura Walters, Ingles District; Mike Mooney, Massie District and Jeff Reeves, Robinson District – all incumbents.
Andy Cullip was nominated to challenge for the Cloyd District seat on the board.
For Constitutional Offices, the nominees are: Kim Mathews, Commissioner of the Revenue; Justin Griffith, Commonwealth’s Attorney and Mike Worrell, Sheriff – all incumbents.
Spencer Rygas was nominated to run for Clerk of the Court.
The party did not nominate a candidate for treasurer.
